Halloween Pictures

I’ve finally chosen a few pictures from the Halloween party Jon E and I threw the other week. You can find them here. Most of the pictures are all VIZ people and I wish I’d gotten a few more pictures from/with the two other main groups that were there (neighbors and friends all!) but you’ll still get a good idea of what a blast we had.

Learning to Ride

Tonight I took my second step towards learning to ride a motorcycle. The first was signing up for the class and the second was tonight, when we had the classroom portion of the class. It was quite good and learning how to actually drive (it was part of the curriculum in Ohio; they don’t have mandatory driving classes in California) helped a lot. I learned a few things I didn’t know and on Saturday and Sunday I’ll be hitting the parking lot with my group to learn how to actually ride.

After that it’s off to the DMV for the license and start saving up a bit of money to get a good used bike that I can learn to ride on. This has been something I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid despite the fact that some of my earliest memories are of my Dad laid up in bed after a motorcycle accident (he was the passenger). Sorry, Dad! I know you’ve warned me not to ride motorcycles but I promise to be a good driver!
