One of the most fun movies to be shot in San Francisco that warrants it’s own tours for visitors is So I Married an Axe Murderer starring Mike Meyers and Nancy Travis. Though they deliberately changed the name of several of the locations the locations are there, and some of them, like Vesuvio (called Roads in the movie) are one of my favorite haunts.
Mookee and I have talked about putting together a list of locations, but it looks like Zurdo Go beat us to the punchline. They have the Fog City Diner, the Embarcadero Ferry Building, Vesuvio’s, the shop where Harriet works, the Palace of Fine Arts, Alamo Square, and much more.
If you’re planning a trip out and loved the movie as much as I did the tour is well worth it, and has loads of information on how to get from location to location via public transportation.
