Well, as I absolutely despise Dominos Pizza and am addicted to the fennel Pizza Hut slips into their crust I'm with you, Jon E. And yeah, it's weird and disgusting to see people so happy to be covered in what appears to be baby poo. I wonder what the meetings were like when they developed this very bad, very disgusting idea?

Its the stains that really sickens me. I think the mister hanky character has made all chocolate smears to me seem so objectionable that eating a pizza made by students of any kind scares me.

Plus who in Gods' green earth would be happy to have crap stains all over their clothes. Not me give me pizza hut till that campaigne is over. LOL

If Dr. Who becomes available on iTunes, I'll likely download that and Stargate for about 35-45 USD less than Comcast bones me for each month - and without ads. Really, I only have cable for SciFi and the occasional BBC America tidbit (which I can do without).

Btw, no, I can't name any (US) media outlet whose ads I don't find deplorable, despite my ties to the industry.

I think all ads suck, not just SciFi Channel. I mean, really, name one channel where you love (or even like) most of the advertising.

It's true that the content is available for download, and maybe someday I'll start doing that. $1.99 isn't too bad to be able to watch this stuff on the big screen with the surround sound system. You know what I'm talking about. :)

SciFi could do better (all 'round) with their advertising - they show lots of crap, low-budget infomercial-ish stuff these days. They need a shakeup. Though I like the frequency of Subaru ads.

Yes, Mr. Hanky. Eek.

Some SciFi content can now be downloaded from Apple for 1.99 USD/per episode, btw, ad-free to boot (worth two discobiscuits in and of itself).

Cousin It! You are absolutely spot on with that. I find the ad just disturbing. I'm half convinced that advertising is half the reason I don't watch network television anymore. It's too bad SciFi Channel has to show them, too...
