Accomodations in San Francisco
I’m really happy my parents are coming out to San Francisco, but for a variety of reasons we are trying to find accomodations at the last minute. My friend Nicole sent me this link to a vacation rental site (VRBO; vacation rentals by owner). Rooms, flats and even whole houses for rent in SF! And other places around the USA!
So if you’re ever looking for a place to stay while you’re vacationing out here, check them out; there look to be some great deals in very nice areas.

For the Russian River area, I can heartily recommend Russian River Getaways (http://www.rrgetaways.com/). We stayed in Yosemite at a house managed by The Redwoods (http://www.redwoodsinyosemite.com/) which was nice but nothing to write home about. A two-bedroom house (ordinary, nothing fancy) was on the market for more than a mil, btw. Anyway, vacation rental homes are great, especially when you’ve got a larger group of people to split the cost.
