Why Conservatives are Ruling America

Not that this is any new topic. Liberals are lamenting the fact and complaining (typically) about it. The truth is that the Conservatives want to rule America. Badly. They have thought about it and worked on strategies for accomplishing their goal for decades. They are not trying to be nice about it; they want power and control.

Until the Liberals decide they want power and control more than the Conservatives, the Liberals will continue to lose. Until they can play politics viciously and without mercy they will continue to lose. Not immorally but ruthlessly.

   I’ve been saying the same thing for ages. Many liberals I’ve spoken with seem to think that playing politics to win and showing no quarter flies in the face of ‘consensus building’ and ‘finding solutions to make everyone happy’. I’ve maintained that the conservatives long ago abandoned those tactics and that it’s high time the liberals did the same, out of pure necessity. Who knows? Maybe the liberals will figure it out if and when the conservatives manage to completely overturn Roe v. Wade; but I hope that doesn’t happen – in fact, I tend to doubt it will. The fact that it’s even a possibility should be a wake-up call to any ‘nice’ liberals out there who see social politics in the U.S. as anyting other than an out and out war…the time for limp-wristed, bipartisan diplomacy has long since passed.
