Can the challenge posts be interspersed with other, non-alphabetical posts?

Everyday things might just get in the way.
For I do have kids, you know.
Gotta take care of them first.
Hope that’s okay.
I’m really enjoying the challenges.
Jason seems to enjoy them too.
Keeping in mind, of course, that he’s a much better writer than I.
Like you are, I might add.
Most people are, though.
Not that I’m horrible, I think.
Of course, I’d say I have a decent command of the English language
Pretty good vocabulary too.
Quite good, if I do say so myself.
Reading is the best way to increase your vocabulary and I used to read a lot.
Sadly, I don’t have much time for it now.
The kids take up most of my time these days.
Usually, I come home from work, cook dinner, play with the kids, and fall asleep.
Very little time is left for private leisure.
Which is why I’m still working on December’s challenge.
Xeric, in regards to time, you might say I am.
Yet, that might not make sense.
Zero sense, in fact, or close to it at least.
